NOR: 132 (including Nursery)

Required from: 1st September 2026

The governors of Sutton on Trent Primary and Nursery school are seeking to appoint a class teacher to join our hardworking and dedicated staff team.

The post will initially be for a mixed Y1/2 class or a mixed Year 5/6 class, dependant on the skills and expertise of the successful candidate. Candidates should state their preference in their initial application.

  • is confident, with strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • is able to develop positive relationships with pupils, parents and colleagues
  • has high expectations of children, colleagues and themselves
  • has a passion for education and the opportunity to impact children’s lives
  • wants to be part of a strong team, working together to build a powerful school community
  • can work flexibly across the primary age range, including within mixed age classes.
